Hi,
I have been using cvs for a few months now and it has really made my
life
much easier in keeping my various software projects up tp date.

However, I have encountered something peculiar with the autogenerated
list
of modified files. That is when you check in without the -m option this
list pops
up in your favourite editor naming all the modified, added, and removed
files.

Now, when your local copy is up to date with the repository, and you do
a check in anyway,
because you want to check you are really in sync with the repository,
sometimes I still get
a huge list of modified files that are really not modified but perfectly
in sync. This can be observed by the fact that after I close the list
nothing gets really checked in as it should be. This does not happen
always but on occasion, and occurs more often when the software tree
checked in is really big. My guess is it may have something to do with
timestamps as I am accessing the repository remotely, through the
pserver method. Then again, nothing gets really checked in so cvs is not
really confused about this..

Any ideas?

Ondrej
