committed files stay -rw-rw-r--

This is weird ..

since a few days all files committed (and checked out after being committed
have permission -rw-rw-r--
where they used to be -r--r--r--

Does anyone have any clue ?/

it must be something incredibly trivial, but I think Im just not seeing it
..
