Greetings, I can't seeem to connect to cvs on my linux box with jcvs, or any other client. I always get an authentication error. I've got passwords in CVSROOT/passwd set correctly, 3 colon lines with system name at end I put the names in CVSROOT/writers my connection line is tight in /etc/inetd.config Does it matter that users and their passwords are the same in etc/passwd and CVSROOT/passwd? What am I missing? Do I have to be logged in on the linux box as the same user that the client logs in on? Can the linux box run as root? Does the same user as the client login have to be the user and group owners of the files in the repository? What does "AUTHENTICATE:verifyOnly? 'false'" mean in the jcvs status window?
