I want to add a -version type option that says which branch the program
was built out of. So I did this...

Added
#define VERSION_NUMBER $Name$
to my code.

cvs commit
cvs rtag -b 'BLAH' directory_name

But when I
cvs co -r 'BLAH'

$Name$ merely translates obdurately to
$Name: $

What am I doing wrong?

I'm using cvs 1.10.8

Thanks,

John Carter

Carter's Compass...

   I know I'm on the right track when by deleting code I'm adding
   functionality.
