Someone has written a closed-source program which interfaces with the
WinCVS DLL, which is in turn a DLL version of the GPL'd CVS executable.
Since this program is dependent on and linked with GPL code, and the
author has stated that he is unwilling/unable to release the source code
(due to the MS NDA he has signed) I believe this program to be in
violation
of the GPL.
I'm quite sympathetic - It's quite a useful program. I'm looking for a
way
to help him out... Has anyone written an LGPL or BSD version of the CVS
client, that he could link to? Converting it to a DLL version shouldn't
then
be too hard.
The URL for the software is
