I have a Projector integration tool for the CodeWarrior IDE, and what
I do there is put up a dialog (analogous to the $EDITOR invocation
under UNIX when -m is omitted). The default text is the checkout
comment and the user is free to edit it. So part of the solution
could be to do the same thing with the command line. There would
still need to be some sort of query for the non-CL interfaces.
One other thing my tool does is allow you to change the comment to
document any changes in your intentions. Perhaps the query and
change could be variants of the same command?
