The simplest solution is to increase the memory and swap space on the
machine.  I believe the usual ratio of memory to swap is 1:2.  If you
already have a lot of available memory, quitting some other active
programs could do the trick too.

search the info-cvs email archives.

What kind of file are you checking in that is 72MB, anyhow?
