Is there any way to do a cvs checkout ignoring some patterns,
say *.gmo *.mo *.po? That's what I want. I did the following:

cvs co -r mutt-1-3-12-rel mutt

What I want is to never download the *.po files that are
stored in mutt/po/.

There's a mutt/po/.cvsignore with *.gmo, but it's of no use to
add other patterns there because I'm doing a checkout. I
really don't know where to start. It keeps downloading all
*.po files.

BTW, what I'd like is to ignore these patterns everywhere, not
only from mutt/po/, also from any other checkout.

TIA.
