Hi, (I am from Holland so I hope my English is clear and understandable enough) I am trying to figure out how we could use cvs and wincvs (using the 'pserver-trick') in our daily activities. We use VSS at the moment, but rumor has it that it will be discontinued in the future. Also, VSS is not really C/S, which is not as safe as we would like it to be. I'd like to hear form the members of this list how they have set up their repository and how they've gone about authorizing the users. And most importantly: why they have chosen to do it like that. I have looked into some of the documentation present on the web, but am not completely sure how to set up your repositories. Does one use one repository for each module? If not (multiple modules in one repository), is it possible to give users different access-rights per module (i.e. per cvs-subdirectory???). I have seen a patch mentioned (cvs-1_11-perms_patch) that should address this issue, but am not sure how to use/apply that patch. AFAIK, one can only make a distinction into three kinds of access-rights on a 'per repository basis': 1. You may not do anything at all (just leave the user out of the passwd-file 2. You may read but not write/create 3. You may everything Is this correct or have I misunderstood something?
