Go through your RSH documentation with a fine tooth comb.  I remember that if anybody
but the owner of the .rhosts file has write permission RSH logins will fail, for
instance.  Verify that RSH is working using something like 'rsh localhost' from the
machine in question and later 'rsh <servername>' from the client machine you wish to
use.
