cvs [login aborted] ... EOF

Hi,

I keep getting  the error message shown below when I login to my
CVSperver (Redhat 7.0)

cvs [login aborted]: received broken pipe signal

and on another machine  I get

cvs [login aborted]: recv() from server 192.168.0.1 :EOF

I would appreciate if you can help me fix it.
