Hi all,

I've searched FAQs, mail archives and websites hints about this and the
closest thing I've found is what I initially thought should work (the
reference was http://www.cvshome.org/cyclic/cvs/dev-list.html):

  cvs -n co <name>

However, on both the 1.10.8 version we have in production and the 1.11.1
which I'm validating, the behavior is the same:

$ cvs -n co tools
cvs server: in directory tools:
cvs [server aborted]: there is no version here; run 'cvs checkout' first

And actually, the same thing happens with directory names, so the
modules file isn't the cause.

Is this what everyone else sees? Is it a bug?
Can anyone suggest another approach?

Thanks in advance,

=Bob=
