As far as I know, none of the currently active developers do Windows. 
So, if you wait for us to fix this stuff, you're going to be waiting a
long time.  (In fact, I'm pretty sure the Windows project files were all
contributed in the first place.)  If you got it to build, I'd encourage
you to go ahead and send diffs (or pointers to the files) to bug-cvs.
