For cvs version 1.11.1p1, there is "cvs rlog".
(Many thanks to Larry Jones! :-)
For earlier versions of cvs, you could do things with rdiff, such as:

cvs rdiff -s -r0 modulename

On a tangent, I find that "cvs rlog -l module" is recursive when it should
be confined to the first directory. Has anyone else seen this behavior? This
is on Solaris 5.6.
