I am trying to get :pserver working. At present, using (server) 1.10 on
Solaris (client) 1.10 on Cygnus:
- commands work properly using local access
- if I give :pserver a userid that isn't in CVSROOT/passwd, it comes
back with a "no such user xxx in CVSROOT/passwd // cvs login:
authorization failed" message.
- if I give :pserver a userid that is in CVSROOT/passwd, it gives "cvs
[login aborted]: recv() from server xxxx: EOF"
- if I give telnet server 2401 and enter xxx I get "cvs [pserver
aborted]: bad auth protocol start: xxx // Connection closed by foreign
host."
- the inetd.conf line is separated with tabs except for the cvs command
line ("cvs -f ...") which is separated with spaces.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?
