Hi Phil, we recently set up cvs network using samba and win2k clients and we found the problem was because when of different readonly flag behaviour in windows and linux. If I Matthew set something to readonly in linux, someone else isn't allowed to turn it off, but in windows that's not the case. So files you commit to the server can't be un-readonly'ed by someone else, hence the problem. The proper solution is not to use it over a file system (we haven't done this yet), but in the interim we set up a chron job which runs every minute to turn off all the read only flags in the repository. this has been working fine for us but YMMV. regards, matt herrmann far edge technology _______________________________________________ Info-cvs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-cvs
