Protocol Failure

Hi,

I have a freshly installed Redhat Linux 7.1 on my machine. I tried to CVS checkout a remote machine, but it gives me the following error:

poll: protocol failure in circuit setup
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages
if any)

Are there any changes to be made to cvs? My CVSROOT is properly set. Please help!
