Nope. CVS doesn't manage directories -- only the files within them. In
CVS directories are just nebulous bits of scaffolding that appear and
disappear automatically just to hold the files in place.
If you want to rename a directory then you have to remove all the files
in the old directory and add them back again in the new directory.
and make sure you're using "cvs update -dP" and "cvs co -d" by putting
at least the following in everyone's ~/.cvsrc:
update -d -P
checkout -d
