Modules problems

I'm trying to define a module that picks certain directories and files
from an existing hierarchy, i.e

    dir1/dir2
    dir1/dir3/file1.c
    dir2

I've read the manual but I cannot get any of the module types nor
combinations to achieve what I want to do.

Can this be done with modules ?
