Hi
Can someone tell me the relation between CVS and rsh
in client/server mode of cvs(Unix server/windows,linux
clients).
In most machines here,CVS works fine even though rsh
is not installed at all in that machine.
We have our CVSROOT set as :server: for all
developers(except those working on linux who have
:ext:) which according to the manual uses rsh to
perform cvs operations.So how is cvs working from
these machines?
Also is it mandatory that we should we use :ext for
linux clients?
Pls clarify.
