Regarding cvsignore the Cederqvist manual says "The per-repository list in `$CVSROOT/CVSROOT/cvsignore' is appended to the list, if that file exists."
currently, my $CVSROOT/CVSROOT dir does not contains a cvsignore file. Is it sufficient to simply create the file in the directory, or do I need to checkout CVSROOT, and 'cvs add' the cvsignore file? Also, will listing directory names in cvsignore work? ie, can I put 'debug' and 'release' in cvsignore, to ignore my build directories? Thanks in advance....
