I'm a newbie to CVS. CVS is on a linux box. My source code is VB on a Win98SE machine.
I was able to import my source into CVS, but I am unable to checkout that same source. Here's the error I get in WinCVS: cvs server: cannot open /root/.cvsignore: Permission denied cvs [server aborted]: can't chdir(/root): Permission denied I suspect this is a permission problem somewhere on the linux box, but I don't know why cvs is trying to get to the /root directory.
