No. cvs login opens a tcpip connection and sends your login information. If it succeeds it saves the password in a file called .cvspass. It then exits. When you do another cvs command to the same repository it opens the .cvspass file reads the password and then opens a connection to the repository, using the stored password. donald > or every cvs command open a new connection?, and do they > send the authentication every time? > > thanks > Santosh > > > > -=-=-=-=-=- > > _________________________________________________________________ > Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com > > > _______________________________________________ > Info-cvs mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-cvs _______________________________________________ Info-cvs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-cvs
