The remote OS is SunOS 5.8
I don�t think so. I have only permissions to access the repository. Is that your 
question?
Anyway, the programmer has installed another tool. JCVS II.jar it�s now running. This 
one works fine, but it seems to be more difficult.
Forgive me, but I�m in a mess...  nobody knows about CVS in this company!

So... you're using a Windows client. What's your remote OS? Can you access
the server from the server?
