Please let me know if you've seen this documented, I haven't and I can't quite grasp it from the source. Can someone tell me what CVS actually does when you use SSH or RSH with CVS ( with a $CVSROOT like :ext:user@host:cvsroot )? What I mean is, does CVS just try to execute another CVS on the remote side, or does it execute locally but access files on the remote side, or something more subtle that I am missing?
