Ok, that makes sense; I knew I downloaded that Automake tarball for some 
reason. 'course it doesn't look like it 'took' on the Alpha I'm working 
on for some reason.


I tried to follow your advice, but I cannot find a noautomake.sh script 
anywhere in the CVS tarball I downloaded (I downloaded the latest from 
the webpage). Is there another site I should look for it somewhere?
