Check out date.

Is there a way using ONLY CVS to get the checkout date substituted
into a file? I'm looking for something that is similar to $Date$ which
is the check in time of the file.  My guess is probably not since the
substitution I bet is handled by RCS or SCCS and not CVS directly.
