The only locks in CVS are under the hood. Users don't see any locks and are able to modify copies of the files at their whim. The first person to checkin is able to do so. The others will have to perform a merge by doing a "cvs up" and resolving any conflicts. > -Deleted files tracked Deleted files are not removed from the repo. They are moved into a special place called the Attic. > -Java Interface I don't know. > -Distributed application support CVS itself is a client/server application. It doesn't care what you put into the repository so it can store distributed applications if that's what you're asking. > -J2EE Support I haven't seen any and will probably not see any since CVS presumes login accounts on the repo server (unless you're using the hackish pserver mode). > -Software Developer Kit If you're asking about a CVS library, I think it's been talked about, but no work has been done on it. > -Mercury Interactive Interface I don't know. > -Failover Clustering Support None. > -Multi-level delegated administration capability CVS relies on OS security. Depending on what you need, you may be able to get it from the OS. Noel __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? LAUNCH - Your Yahoo!
