I am using Emacs as a "viewer" for WinCVS - actually, I am using it as an
editor. However, I frequently find that Emacs has been invoked without the
HOME env var correctly set. This is odd, as I set it as a Windows env var.
Stranger yet, the HOME for Emacs is the same as the HOME for WinCVS, so there
should be no problem with interaction between the two. If I close WinCVS and
restart it, I find that HOME is properly set again (my determination of
whether or not HOME is set is done by knowing whether my .emacs has been loaded).
Does anyone have any idea what is going on here and what I might be able to do
about it?
