-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm wondering if it's possible to combine two CVS repositories containing the same codebase at different points in time. To clarify:
I have /cvsroot1 and /cvsroot2. Both contain a module, abc. /cvsroot1/abc includes the development of abc from nothing until a point in time, T. /cvsroot2/abc continues the development of abc starting with an import of the code at time T until the present. The history is as follows. Project abc was started by an individual. This individual developed the project until he ran out of time. The code was imported into a new repository elsewhere and developed until the present. Now, the old CVS repository was obtained. Is there any way to combine the change history of the two repositories? Are there any scripts to let me do this? If not, does anyone have an idea on how to get started writing a script to do this? Thanks, Richard Laager P.S. I sent this message a couple of days ago, but I never got it back from the list and it didn't show up in the archives. I'm assuming it didn't go through.
