i am looking for some sort of version- or software-change-management for our cooporate developer team. along several commercial tools, which mostly provide the needed functionality, i was wondering if CVS offers the following needs:
- keep different versions of a software
- extract specific version out of CVS
- support of SCC (SourceCodeControl Interface by Microsoft)
- check-in / -out files
- merge changes of different developers
the SCC API is one of the most important features needed, because we are developing with Remedy's Action Request System which only provides support for this API.
