I have read that renaming a file and keeping it's history is not exactly easy to do in cvs. With Eclipse IDE, and a VSS plugin, I am able to rename a dir, or refactor a package name in our java code and it automatically updates all cases in VSS and keeps history. I have to believe that by now there must be some script that can do this for a CVS directory and/or files in it? I want to rename an entire package and all sub-packages (dirs) but yet keep all their history, possibly adding in an updated message when the name/package has changed and a ref to the old name/package. Does CVS not allow this, is there no way to make this work?
Thanks. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! SiteBuilder - Free, easy-to-use web site design software http://sitebuilder.yahoo.com _______________________________________________ Info-cvs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-cvs
