since version 1.10 I always used SETXID_SUPPORT,  version 1.11.5 (latest
version that I was running), not causing this problem , I built it also with
SETXID_SUPPORT.

As far as I know, no one ever tests SETXID_SUPPORT.  I wonder if that's
the root of the problem?
