Sticky tag issue

We seem to be getting this error when committing to CVS.  The jist of 
what we did is we branched from the stream, made changes to both the 
stream and the branch and then merged the branch back to the stream. 
Now when we check out the tag from the stream and commit modified code 
we get this:

cvs server: sticky tag 'Merged-01072004' for file 
source/aa_provider_mapping.xml cvs[server aborted]: correct errors
first!

Please advise.  Thanks in advance.
