The thread started with Windows getting the "wrong" case version of the file, that is, if I have Dir/ and dir/, and Dir/ is empty now (all in the Attic) and I do a checkout, I get the contents of dir/, but they are stored in Dir/ (and even the Entries file is wrong!): http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/info-cvs/2004-04/msg00201.html http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/info-cvs/2004-04/msg00219.html (BTW: This even happens the 1.11.15.) The issue then went over the \r vs. \n, but not in the Entries file. You're right, there was no "Move away - it is in the way" error in my case, but I got a cvs server: src/arch/os2/Snippets/Makefile.am is no longer in the repository which is not much better than the "move it away" message.
