Automatic update modules list

Is there a way to automatically update the CVSROOT/modules file when a 
new module is added ? I would like to be able to fetch a list of the 
modules with tortoisecvs.

To be able to get the list i so far have edited the file manually. This 
worked just fine execpt for two modules with white spaces in their 
names. How do I get it to work with white spaces in the module name with 
the CVSROOT/modules file ?
