How many users do you have? How many of them will be trying to access the repository at the same time? If you have a lot of users potentially accessing the server at the same time, you'll need to consider RAM and network throughput (our server is a Sun/Sparc with a 1000BaseT fiber-optic link to the network switch; I forget how much RAM it has). The memory seems a little low - then again, maybe I'm used to the bloat required by Windows. You will need enough RAM to load the largest file in your repository (the ,v file) into memory. If you're dealing with huge files, then 240M may not be enough. -- Jim Hyslop Senior Software Designer Leitch Technology International Inc.
