cvs update -A (make sure you have no un-committed changes) cvs update -jHEAD -jtag1 cvs update -jHEAD -jtag2 cvs update -jHEAD -jtag3 . . . cvs update -jHEAD -jtagN (sanity check) cvs commit (by the way, do a trial run on a test portion of your repository to make sure the -j options are in the right order). Now, I'm starting to get a little suspicious that your process is not the most effective. Why are you constantly overwriting the head?
