What version of cvs are you using? PAM support was only added in the 1.12 branch...
1.11, I am not sure exactly which 1.11 (I am not at work right now), but I know it's not 1.12. There is no way to make a cvs 1.11 authenticate with pserver running on Solaris with LDAP ?
