First of all, don't use the server's IP address, use its name. That will
prevent any future problems like this.

The easiest thing to do is simply check out a fresh copy with your $CVSROOT
set to the new machine.

If you have outstanding changes that need to be checked in, then use the -d
option:

cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/path_to_repository commit
