Actually, deadlock wouldn't be your problem. If your SAN client is configured to cache directory existance data, a server can end up overwriting changes from another when both think they have a lock. For this sort of reason, folks on this list usually discourage this setup, but I've seen it done right and someone who knows what they are doing can usually pull it off. I recommend frequent backups regardless, but anyone experimenting with this setup for the first time should be especially careful. Regards, Derek -- Derek R.
