Sorry about that; the actual version of CVS we're using is 1.12.12, not *.10 (or *.9 ...); the CVS repository is hosted on Sun fileservers; the clients are either running Solaris 8 or 9 or some variant of Windows running winCVS. A transcript from a Solaris session is below.
