Thanks everybody, to my surprise, I solved everything with the simplest solution: Restart the CVS services in Windows.
Although I do not understand why, but after I stop the CVS services, backup the cvsroot folder and start the services again, everything is back to normal. Thanks everybody for the great help! -----Original Message----- From: Dave Korn [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, September 15, 2005 3:39 AM To: 'Larry Jones' Cc: 'Christopher Cheng'; 'Jim Hyslop'; [email protected] Subject: RE: Unable to increment revision number ----Original Message---- >From: Larry Jones >Sent: 14 September 2005 20:35 >> You should, however, still be very very worried indeed about how it got >> that way in the first place. I beg to differ. What Christopher really, _really_ needs to do is "make an emergency backup of the entire disk RIGHT THIS VERY SECOND". .... and *then* start figuring out what went wrong. :) cheers, DaveK -- Can't think of a witty .sigline today.... _______________________________________________ Info-cvs mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-cvs
