If you are running CVS server on windows then you are most likely
running CVSNT. Please direct all CVSNT Server questions to:
http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt
or
news://news.cvsnt.org/support.cvsnt

You can set CVSNT server to read only mode using the control panel if
you are using a recent version. And yes you can simply copy the
repository from one server to the other.

Arthur Barrett

Subject: locking cvs and moving the repository

Hi,
I am about to move the cvs repository from one window machine to
another.

First Q: I want to lock the repository before startig the move, so
nothing can be committed to the old repository. How do I do that?

Second Q: Should I simply copy the entire repository to its new
location?

Anything else I should know?

Thanks a lot!
