Since you use tortoiseCVS ... I use both tortoiseCVS and commandline (cvshome.org) I also configured tortoiseCVS to use "BeyondCompare" as my diff tool. Great viewer to look at directories or files and see changes/differences. tortoiseCVS will downlaod the current HEAD file, giv eit the filename.vernum and then send that file and the current file in your sandbox to BeyondCompare and it will display both files, side by side and show what what has changed.
