Hello, I am using TortoiseCVS 1.8.25 for my client side, and CVS 1.11.8
running at the top of Ubuntu 4.10

I realize that after letting my server to rest for a long time, i.e.
let it stays idle for an over night, the following problem will occur
at the first time I try to compare the diff of the files.

During the comparison, the following words will be appended on the left
hand side (The original version)

Client: Concurrent Version System (CVSNT) 2.5.02 (Servalan) Build 2064
(client/server)
Server: Concurrent Version System (CVS) 1.11.18 (client/server)
with CVSACL path 1.2.2 (cvsacl.sourceforge.net)

Please refer the the screen shoot:
http://www.geocities.com/yccheok/problem.jpg

The problem will disappear after the sub-sequence operation. However,
same problem occurs during the next morning, by letting the server
stays idle for an over night.

Any idea on the root cause of this problem? I suspect this will be the
problem on server side. However, is there any possibility client
program will cause this problem?

Please advice. Thank you very much!

cheok
