I've only used the CVSNT server on the same machine as the repository. Over the years, I have learned that trying to "get past" blocks like this (with any software, not just CVSNT) is usually counter-productive - just go with the flow. Is there any reason you can't install the CVSNT server on the same machine that currently hosts the repository?
