I'd go one further; if you read the disclaimer -

Anyone reading this list is encouraged to disseminate, distribute, use
and copy the information contained in the list. That IS the purpose of
the list.

The disclaimer above is therefore not compatible with this list;
anything put on this list becomes public property.

I wonder if lawyers would be able to put together a disclaimer that
takes that into account?

Failing that, there should be a way to automatically strip incoming
messages of such cruft...
