CVSNT revision numbers are an artifact, they are for internal use only.
Use tags/labels instead:
http://www.cvsnt.org/manual/html/Tags.html

If you are new to CVS I strongly recommend one of the many good books
available on the subject. "All About CVS" is my favourite because I
helped write it...

> Server: Concurrent Versions System (CVSNT) 2.5.03 (Scorpio) Build 2260

There is a separate newsgroup for CVSNT:
http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt
or
news://news.cvsnt.org/support.cvsnt

It appears as though you are using WinCVS which includes CVSNT 2.0.51d
(which is also old). The latest version is 2.5.03, you can upgrade the
cvs.exe in the WinCVS folder.

There is also a separate newsgroup for WinCVS, see the wincvs.org web
site for details.
