I am thinking that it doesn't like your date_spec. Try using "2006-08-20 22:00" with your cvs rtag -D command instead.

Of course I could simply go into the directory after the first checkout and use 'cvs tag', but I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong. What am I missing?
